HILARY SWANK TO BE HONORED AT SAKS FIFTH AVENUE’S UNFORGETTABLE EVENING TO BENEFIT EIF’S WOMEN’S CANCER RESEARCH FUND

WHAT:
Saks Fifth Avenue’s Unforgettable Evening benefiting the Entertainment Industry Foundation’s Women’s Cancer Research Fund (EIF’s WCRF), raises much needed funds each year for revolutionary cancer research, and recognizes one remarkable individual for his or her unwavering commitment to the cause. Oscar winner and women’s cancer advocate Hilary Swank will receive the 2008 Courage Award. The award honors her collaborations with EIF’s WCRF to further cancer research and education, and highlights Swank’s passionate commitment to Pantene Beautiful Lengths, a program created in partnership between Pantene and EIF’s WCRF. Recently, Swank cut off her hair for the program which encourages people to grow, cut, and donate their healthy hair to make free real-hair wigs for women who have lost their hair due to cancer treatment.

The event will feature a special performance by the multi-platinum, GRAMMY-award winning artist Mary J. Blige.

Additionally, Pantene and Juicy Couture’s Pam Skaist-Levy and Gela Nash-Taylor will be recognized for their major contributions of support to EIF’s WCRF. They will be presented with the Corporate Visionary and Nat King Cole awards respectively.
